APP takes environmental protection as its own responsibility and always retains operation concepts of green paper making and environmental protection a priority. On December 24, 2004, the first stage of a project by the Ningbo Asia Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. under APP was officially launched into production with an overall investment of RMB 11.83 billion - the most advanced line in the world with the largest single production. Its predecessor, Ningbo Zhonghua Paper has become a resource regeneration paper manufacturer with reclaimed paper as a raw material after joint investments and establishment in 1992. Its annual output was enlarged from 20,000 to 30,000 tons before increasing to 500,000 tons. The new production line is mainly applied in industrial packaging paper production. The annual industrial board output may reach 750,000 tons. Raw materials mainly come from reclaimed newsprint paper, office paper, magazine paper and other industrial and living paper. The annual consumption of waste paper has been increased to 700,000 tons, and 85% of raw materials of grey board industrial paper adopt reclaimed pulp. This reclaimed paper goes through a strict de-inking process and whiteness reaches national standards. Reutilization of resources, when quality is ensured, has dramatically brought down costs, and achieved the environmental protection purposes of circulative resource application, opening a new chapter in the Chinese green paper industry. |
