 As a commitment to reduce resource consumption and pollution at each link of the production process, we have built a large number of infrastructures and prepared an environmental policy and action plan for pollution prevention.  At present, APP has invested as much as RMB 4 billion in environmental protection facilities in China, which is unprecedented in China. Moreover, APP enterprises have won numerous environmental protection awards. Gold East paper making enterprise, whose environmental protection standards have met or even exceeded world levels, has won awards in the Top 100 Projects of National Environmental Protection in October, 2003. In 2004, it has won the highest national award for environmental protection, the National Environment-Friendly Enterprise issued by China's State Environmental Protection Administration. |
